I am kinda emotional about this, because i am an old woman, and I never saw a president of the United States Booed at at a funeral. Ever! I reckon with the pandemic and all, we can expect the unexpected, but I never saw a thing even in the 60's. We had the Nixon thing which we got on radio and the nightly news, but that was not this ugly.

When did Mr. Bojangles get on this site? I've not seen tap dancing in a long time as I have seen on this thread. Trump is well aware that if this election is properly and legally conducted he will be out and many Republicans in congress are aware that they will also be gone. Trump is not trying to hide anything he knows everyone knows what he's up to but he figures because he's Trump he will get away with it. And quite simply if the efforts that he and his cronies spent on rigging this election don't succeed he will refuse to concede and the USA will be thrown into a turmoil of legal chaos. I dread to think of what kind of executive orders he will be throwing out during the interim between the election results and inauguration do I sound apprehensive? I am not usually inclined to give into fear but I am terrified, not so much for myself but future generations.

Ole Anti was doing so good until the lie started, I have highlighted the lie. Truth be told, Trump and the Republicans are filling the seat because that is their Constitutional duty. We had an election in 2016 that empowered Donald J. Trump to be the one in charge during this time. He is only doing his job.
I actually don't disagree with you about him doing his job. I think it's hypocritical that when Scalia died, the GOP argued that Obama shouldn't be able to appoint a replacement because it was his last year... but hypocrisy is commonplace anymore.
But Trump nominated Kavanaugh on July 9, and he was seated in October. Gorsuch was nominated on January 31, and was seated on April 10. So if not for the concern of losing in November, why would they be rushing to nominate and confirm someone within the next 6 weeks?
After Scalia died, we went 14 months without a replacement. I think we would be just fine if we waited a few weeks this time, don't you?
Or don't you feel that confident about Trump winning?
